Rights Respecting School - Articles 2 & 28

As many children return to the classroom next week it is important to remember that around the world millions of children will not go back to school at all.

All too often it is girls rather than boys whose education is discontinued. Globally 132 million girls were out of school before the pandemic and after the pandemic it is predicted that up to 20 million girls might never return.

On 8 March it is International Women's Day and this year the theme is #ChooseToChallange. That is why we are exploring barriers to girls education through a focus on non-discrimination (Article 2) and education (Article 28) in this week's pack.
