Art, reading and skeletons

As promised, here are some pictures of the wonderful self portraits the children have been creating using oil pastels. Can you recognise anyone?

Over the summer, we bought lots of new reading books for our Y3 book corners and the classrooms had some new bookshelves/boxes too. We want to encourage a love of reading and the children have told us they are enjoying browsing the new selection.

The children in Y3D/dB and Y3RH have written book recommendations to each other and they are displayed in the book corner as kites flying with Flat Stanley.

In our science lessons, the children had a go at building a human skeleton using art straws. We think these ones by children in Y3SH look great!
