FOLA

Welcome to FOLA (Friends of Lydgate Association) our Parent Teacher Association. This is one of many ways parents can get more involved in our thriving school community.

Traditionally PTAs are set up by parents to raise money to improve the school environment for our children and FOLA is no exception.

Support the school

Money raised by FOLA this year will be used to help fund new sports equipment and improve access into the school by way of the top gate and installing a ramp for easier access.

Make friends

FOLA should have another function and that is to bring the children, staff and parents together socially. To this end we run a number of events throughout the year including discos, film nights and the summer fair.

All these events are organised and run by volunteers and we’re always looking for more support from parents/relatives.

Keep in touch

There is an Open Meeting each term when anyone can turn up to hear what is in the pipeline or suggest new ideas. We also have a Facebook page (FOLA – Friends of Lydgate Association) where you can keep up-to-date on events and talk to other parents.

After that you can decide how much or how little you want to get involved: maybe you can bake a cake, sell some raffle tickets or help plan the Summer Fair. It is up to you, we hope you will come along and enjoy some events and FOLA will make yours and your children's time at Lydgate Junior School that little bit more fun.
