Friday 18th December

It's been a busy and exciting week in the Y5EC & Y5W/R bubble! We had a fantastic time at our tapas tasting, and tried loads of delicious Spanish food. It was a great finale to this half term's Spain topic.

We have also worked in our groups for our Dragons' Den project, to prepare and present a pitch for our own product. Miss Cunningham, Mrs Ridsdale and Mrs Webb have been super impressed with our creativity and hard work, and it was really hard for them to pick a winner in the final. The presentations were some of the best they have ever seen!

Finally, as promised, here are the videos of the music performances which we filmed at the end of last week. We hope they put you in the Christmas spirit! Merry Christmas and have a wonderful holiday everyone.

The Y5NL/BB bubble also really enjoyed our Tapas-tasting afternoon. It was a lovely end to this term's Spain topic. We tried lots of different things (you can see the list on the photo) and wrote down which ones were 'gusto' or 'disgusto'. The churros were the most popular and the artichoke was the least popular.

Y5NL have also been in the forest this week, making start decorations. We had to find 6 sticks the same sort of size, then we used wool to join them together into a start shape. We could decorate them with winter leaves or a bit of tinsel. They look very festive! We also warmed up with hot chocolate and biscuits.

We would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy Christmas. We will see you in 2021!
