A sporty week

Cricket

Today all of the Year 6 classes enjoyed a cricket coaching session with John and James. John is Mrs Purdom's brother and James is his nephew who is studying sport at university but is also a cricket coach. They taught us how to bowl properly and also how to improve our batting. We then played a game of Kwik Cricket with them. There was a bit of cheating going on! Everyone really enjoyed the morning and we are really grateful to them for giving up their time to come in and coach us.

Samba Dance

This week all of the Year 6 classes had the opportunity to practise our samba dancing ready for our leaver's assembly. Sarah Hardy very kindly came in and helped us all with our dance routine. Everybody enjoyed being able to practise a skill we had learned previously and we can't wait to perfect our routine!
