Magic Box poetry
For home learning this week, we asked you to read the poem 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright (you can listen to it here: www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zkpmhyc). We set the challenge for you to write your own poem with imaginative items that you would put into the box. We then asked you to send us just one line from your writing that you would like to include in a poem that we would put together as a year group.
We had a fantastic response and have been so excited to reveal the collaborative poem to you. Thank you to everyone who joined in and sent your work to us. Here is the amazing poem that we have written together - but separately.
Kate's line was describing a real goat called Bob that she met whilst on holiday in Ireland last year. Here is a picture of him.
A few children have sent us their whole poem and some sent a picture to go with their ideas (see below). If you didn't manage to send us a line for the shared poem, you can still send us a picture of your whole poem and we will add it to this blog for others to read.
