This week, we were visited by two Roman soldiers. We had half a day learning about what life was like for a soldier in the Roman army and what made them so successful. Taking part in some battle formations was one of the highlights of the day!

 The other half of the day was spent with a retired soldier, who told us all about everyday life in Roman Britain. Interestingly, we found out how Roman and Celtic culture merged and how they were not as different as it is perhaps thought.  

Our learning about the Romans really came alive  and we would like to thank Roman Tours for a fantastic day!
