Viking Day

On Thursday we had a special day to end our Vikings topic. We had lots of activities: writing in runes, making top trumps cards, Viking drama, painting shields, drawing longhouses and trying out Viking flatbread and our version of a drink called mead. To end the day, we had a rampage around the playground and a chanting competition, followed by some Viking singing and a visit from a ghost monk.

Lots of people had dressed up for the day and there were some great costumes. It was a really fun day. Here some photos of what we did.
