Plastic Pollution Animations

Article 12 of the UNCRC states that children have the right to give their opinion and for it to be heard. Article 13 states that children have the right to find out things and share what they think with others. Article 29 states that education should help children learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.

Related to all of these rights is the work the children in Year 3 have been doing this half term about the impact of single-use plastic on the environment. They have been thinking of ways to make our school more 'plastic clever' and they are keen to make more people aware of the harmful effects of using single-use plastic.

Linked to this work, the children have been learning how to make stop motion animations in our computing lessons and have created short films about plastic pollution and the oceans.
