How to Look After a Giant

This week, we imagined that there is a giant living in our school woods. We thought about what we might need to do to look after the giant and wrote instructions for how to brush its teeth, comb its hair, bandage its grazed knee, give it a bath, and so on.

We read a model text to help us ('How to Trap a Dragon' by Pie Corbett) and noticed the layout, the precise vocabulary and the clear command sentences. We tried to make our instructions simple and clear for the reader to follow.
