Year 3 had a great time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week. We particularly enjoyed seeing the polar bears and learning all about them in a workshop.

Did you know that polar bears have transparent fur and it only looks white because there is a lot of it together?

Did you know that polar bears have an extra pair of eyelids that are transparent so that they can see underwater?

Did you know that polar bears have such a strong sense of smell that they can smell a seal through up to 1 metre of ice?

We are looking forward to writing reports all about polar bears over the next few weeks.
