CHILDREN IN NEED 2021
It's Children in Need day today but we have been fundraising all week. We have been able to buy wristbands and enter a colouring competition to design a bandana for Pudsey. Today, we donated £1 so that we could dress up or dress down in our own clothes. We also held class cake sales which we loved! We had a great day and raised lots of money for a really good cause.

We've had another busy week in Y4SS and have ended the week with our Children in Need activities. Here are the fabulous entries for the colouring competition. It was so hard to judge as every design had something special about it.
Here is the winning bandana design! Eye-catching, simple yet with subtle details and beautifully coloured! Well done Sophie!
And here are the children buying cakes and biscuits at our class bake sale. Thank you to all the parents who helped make biscuits or bought some to donate. As a class, we have raised over £50!! Amazing!

What a lovely time we had today eating delicious cakes and biscuits while learning about and reflecting on the different charities and good causes that Children in Need supports. Thank you for the wonderful support of the 4JD parents who baked and sent in cakes and biscuits goods along with your donations. We raised a huge amount as a class and I'm sure too throughout the school today.
Here are our colouring competition entries and our winner.

We have had lots of brilliant bandana entries this week to raise money for Children In Need. The happy winner of our class competition is featured in the middle.
Thank you to everyone who sent in cakes, biscuits and buns and also lots of contributions of change for the children to spend. We set up a little shop and have raised lots of money ready to be counted on Monday.

And here we are, enjoying our bake sale. We had so many delicious cakes and biscuits we managed another sale in the afternoon. Thank you to everyone for baking and buying!
And here are our bandana entries. It was so difficult to choose but we liked tthe message on the winning design, 'You're special just the way you are.'
Mrs Cooke was very busy this afternoon, counting the money we raised around the school for Children in Need. The final amount will be announced on the school website so keep checking in.
Well done everyone and thank you!
