Puffin fundraiser update!

As you know, we have been busy selling our postcards and badges to help raise awareness about the plight of the Atlantic puffin.

Here we are, getting the packs ready to sell....

Here we are, selling in the playground......

Here we are, proudly displaying our merchandise.....

Here are our stalls at the gate and in the staffroom........

We are pleased to be able to tell you that we have raised enough money for each class to adopt a puffin as well as giving a donation to Save Puffins - £183 in total. Great effort everyone.

Marvellous matchbox homework!

Your teachers have been blown away by the quality of your homework this week. These little seaside matchboxes are so inventive and absolutely delightful.

Here are 4JP's creations. Can you spot fish and chips, a Punch and Judy show and a miniature rockpool, complete with fishing net?

Matchboxes from 4CW

We even had a pinball machine!

Here are our matchboxes from 4JD...

Can you see a lighthouse? Can you see a Punch and Judy show? or maybe boat?

Here are Y4SS's creative matchboxes! The tiny details are incredible! One of them even has a high and low tide function! Wow!

Singing for Scarborough!

We are all very excited about our year group trip to Scarborough next week. We have been learning about Scarborough castle and coastal erosion in preparation. Mrs Smith has also been preparing by teaching her class the song 'Scarborough Fair' - accompanied by several musicians. They were so good, they decided to teach it to all of us. Here we are in assembly, having a good old sing.

Perhaps we'll sing it on the coach next week!
