We have had such a busy week in Year 5!

In English, we have been learning about writing explanation texts. We looked at a really good explanation of how Wallace's 'Snoozatron' machine works and picked out the features so that we can use them in our own writing next week. Here are the posters we made showing all the features of explanations.

In our maths lessons, multiplying has been quite a challenge but using base 10 helped us to understand the methods and how they work. Most people are starting to feel confident now!

We have also been doing lots of art this week. Y5WR created these beautiful snowy pictures of winter trees and Y5NC have been studying pictures of Viking longships, picking out small details to create a moodboard.
