Year 6 super stars!
Well done to the Year 6 girls who played in a football tournament at The Sheffield Girls' High School on Wednesday. It was a lovely afternoon and the girls played really well with smiles on their faces throughout. It felt like a really positive tournament and the girls all increased in both skill and confidence with each game, playing really well together as a team. We were delighted to play against two of The Girls High School's teams and Abourthorne Community Primary School and we won all 3 matches. We also then practised developing our skills with a mini tournament afterwards, of which we won 1, drew 1 and lost 1. Two Y5 girls teams also played in a netball tournament at the same time, so the girls should all feel very proud of themselves.
This week, the whole school has taken part in The Safer Internet Day lessons based on the theme 'All fun and games? Exploring Respect and Realtionships Online' which is an important part of our RRS and online safety curriculum and ethos. From gaming and chat, to streaming and video, young people are shaping the interactive entertainment spaces they are part of. The Year 6s listened and contributed well and should feel more confident with playing and socialising online safely and respectfully.
The Year 6 staff would like to wish the Year 6s and their families a safe and happy half term break.
